Repair Café at The Cultural Hub is a community initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out. Sententia Vera, LLC, the initiator, will organize a Repair Café in the new year at the SV Cultural Hub. Residents of Hays and Travis Counties can bring their broken items to fix them on the spot with the help of voluntary repairers. Repair Café needs handy volunteers in the area. Join us!
Repair Café at The Cultural Hub is looking for local residents with different skills who can be present as repair experts during the Repair Café meetings. I am especially looking for people who are handy with:
- clothing / textile
- bicycles / skates / skateboards
- electrical small appliances
- small furniture / wooden objects
- computers / smartphones / internet
- computer applications / software
And who enjoy sharing their knowledge with their neighbors.
The Hub will have snacks and beverages for sale. I welcome visitors and serve as a contact point for both visitors and repairers in the Repair Café.
