Plan to Celebrate Vote Early Day

Jun 17, 2022 | Civic Engagement, Press Release

The Hub is proud to help the Dripping Springs Community cast their ballots early this fall.

Today Sententia Vera Cultural Hub announced it would join thousands of organizations across the country in celebrating Vote Early Day on October 28. Vote Early Day is a civic holiday founded by national nonprofits, businesses, election administrators, and influencers to ensure that every American has the tools and knowledge to cast their ballot early for the upcoming midterm election and beyond.

The Hub is a local site for voter information distributed by the League of Women Voters of Hays County, another Vote Early Day partner. During its weekday hours of operation, Monday thru Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, The Hub will have voter information to raise awareness about the upcoming midterm election and help people learn about their options to vote early. In addition, a LWV volunteer team will soon set a regular schedule for a voter information and registration table at The Hub.

Sententia Vera Cultural Hub has a goal of helping at least 2022 voters cast their ballot before Election Day either in person, through a ballot drop box, or by mail.

Over 220 million Americans have the option to vote early by mail or in person, but factors like long lines, last-minute obligations, confusing election laws, and voter disinformation can prevent voters from casting a ballot. By celebrating Vote Early Day, The Hub is giving voters a convenient and nonpartisan reason to vote early and make sure their voices are heard.

“By voting early, we ensure that we have time to make a plan, inform ourselves about what is on our ballot, anticipate barriers that might get in the way, resolve any challenges that may arise at the polls and have time to resolve them, and guarantee that our voice is heard,” said Teresa Carbajal Ravet, owner of Sententia Vera Cultural Hub. “We are celebrating Vote Early Day to make sure everyone has the tools they need to cast their ballot this fall—and feel confident that their vote will count!”

The Hub is proud to be one of a rapidly growing number of businesses that have joined this nonpartisan movement to empower their communities. To learn more about Vote Early Day and how to join the movement, visit their website at www.voteearlyday.org.
About Vote Early Day
Vote Early Day is a nonpartisan movement of media companies, businesses, nonprofits, election administrators, and creatives working to ensure all Americans have the tools to cast their ballot early. Created in 2020, Vote Early Day has brought thousands of national and local partners together in celebration and activation to increase the number of people voting early. This collaborative, open-source model—similar to Giving Tuesday and National Voter Registration Day—ensures that millions more Americans take advantage of their options to vote early.
