SUSTAINABLE WINEGROWING
From childhood adventures playing ‘Tom Sawyer’ on the Mokelumne River to working with their dad and grandpa, Brad and Randall formed a true respect for the land which developed into being responsible land stewards. This commitment guides our daily farming and business practices to ensure they benefit our land, business, team, and the communities in which we live.
ESTATE VINEYARDS
Great wine starts in the vineyard. This philosophy, coupled with our focus on sustainability, informs our viticulture decisions across the regions in which we farm. We farm twenty-nine varieties across sixty-seven vineyards and certify our vineyards through The Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing.
ABOUT THE LODI RULES FOR SUSTAINABLE WINEGROWING
Created by California farmers and accredited by world-renowned scientists, LODI RULES is America’s original sustainable winegrowing program. The program is the culmination of decades of viticulture research and input from farmers, scientists, and environmentalists with a desire to farm in a way that meets the needs of today without compromising the ability to future generations to create their own livelihoods. The three seals – LODI RULES, CALIFORNIA RULES, and the CERTIFIED GREEN seal – carry the same rigorous meaning of verified, scientifically-sound sustainable farming which emphasizes environmentally and socially responsible practices, while keeping economic feasibility in mind for long-term business success.
