ABOUT Teresa

Chief Culturist & Founder

Teresa was born in Mexico and raised along the Texas border, where a deeply bicultural and bilingual upbringing shaped her personal and professional identity. Her early experiences navigating dual cultures sparked a lifelong interest in self-definition, community connection, and the dynamics of multicultural engagement. This foundation continues to guide her work as an advocate for cultural experiences, linguistic access, and authentic relationship-building across communities.

As a culturist, Spanish linguist, bilingual writer, educator, and entrepreneur, Teresa brings a unique blend of expertise to her work. She is the founder of two ventures—Sententia Vera, LLC and the Sententia Vera Cultural Hub—through which she has led initiatives that strengthen communication, cross-cultural understanding, and strategic community development. Teresa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Linguistics with a minor in Latin American History, as well as a Master of Arts in Modern Languages with a specialization in Spanish Literature and Linguistics, both from Texas A&M University.

Having immigrated to the United States at a young age, Teresa’s path has been marked by meaningful milestones: becoming a first-generation college graduate, completing an advanced degree, and building two successful businesses rooted in culture, language, and community service. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to expanding multicultural engagement and communication by fostering genuine curiosity about global cultures, languages, and lived experiences.

Today, as the Chief Culturist of Sententia Vera, LLC, Teresa advances bilingual communication and cultural relations across the nonprofit, social services, education, and marketing sectors. Her community engagement also includes service as a board trustee for several local nonprofit organizations, underscoring her dedication to collaborative progress and positive social impact.
