About the National Museum of the American Latino Commission:

The National Museum of the American Latino Commission is a 23-member body appointed by the President of the United States and bi-partisan Congressional leaders tasked to provide a report on the creation of a potential National Museum of the American Latino. The museum would focus on American Latino life, art, history and culture and the Commission will report on possible sites, potential content, suggested structure/governance and fund-raising strategies. As a means to garner direct input from the public, the Commission is holding a series of forums across the country. The Commission’s final report will be sent to Congress in September 2010.
