Already the 6th day of December and I haven’t even started to think about shopping or gifting or wish lists. What I have thought about is being a part of the Holiday Spirit and creating my own unique impact on that Spirit. I started during the Thanksgiving holidays by deciding to get into the mood and take out the Christmas decorations and arranged them with the help of my gloriously anxious five year old (who thought that this was the greatest idea mamá EVER had).

Next, a holiday playlist. I have been gathering music, experimenting with iTunes and Spotify, and currently creating my personal holiday playlist, broadcasting in the home office, just like the retail shops.

Then, holiday celebrations! Yes, I have agreed to host, participate, and attend the multitude of holiday gatherings from friends, neighbors, colleagues, schools, non-profits, and the many diverse and cultural celebrations I’ve searched out. I’ve made, baked, cooked, poured, etc. for the next 10 to 12 holiday seasons, and it’s only the first week of December!

Last, but not least, virtual holiday touring. Sort of like visiting Open House gatherings in which I drop by, partake, contribute and continue on my merry way. This type of touring has been fun, enlightening, and surprisingly warm, in the sense that this has given me the opportunity to connect and reconnect with others from a distance.

Hence, I invite and welcome you to follow Sententia Vera through the various tours in which we are participating. Yesterday, SV mentioned the Count on Me Book Tour and now for the second year in a row, Sententia Vera has been chosen to be a part of the Holiday Blog Tour. It has become an annual tradition, spearheaded by talented Latina writer, Icess Fernandez. Icess assembled a diverse group of women bloggers made up of artists, musicians, writers, and photographers, clearly a full arts community endeavor, to wish our readers a Very Merry Holiday Season!
